Carlos is a programmer and filmmaker whose work focuses on the cultural impact of the hegemonic audiovisual language. He is Head of Programming for the 23rd Festival de Cine Equinoxio (the first short film festival in Colombia) and has been invited as a curator and jury at events such as the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (Montreal, Canada) and the Bogotá International Film Festival (Bogotá, Colombia); He has been selected as an Emerging Latin American Programmer by the Locarno Film Festival (Industry Academy International – 2020) and by the Berlinale Talents – Buenos Aires (2021). His work as a filmmaker has been exhibited at Latin American festivals such as the São Paulo Latin-American Cinema Festival and has competed for the CILECT Award for Best Documentary.
