LETTER TO INGER
María Lucía Castrillón
Colombia, France, 2018
An intimate portrait of Inger Servolin, one of the first producers of documentaries in France. Beginning with the cinematographic effervescence of May 1968, when she joined Chris Marker and others, founding the cooperative Slon, and later ISKRA in 1973, one of the few production houses of the period that still exists today. Between extracts from films, letters written to Chris Marker and testimonies of her comrades, this documentary explores the intimate seeking of a woman to make possible films that “should not” exist and that today constitute an essential part of France’s documentary heritage.
