Fabián is a young man from Bogota, who has always inhabited fringes, knows the street codes and the glories and misfortunes of life to the limits. The oppressive spaces in their crammed dorms, the privacy deprivation, and the monotony of imprisonment subtly allow blurred memories, senses of guilt, and difficulties related to their present to arise. But this is not a short film about limitation, but about expressive possibilities as an escape hatch, as restoration mean. Thanks to urban music, it sprouts in the protagonist an expression and creativity longing, motors to keep ongoing. The expression “gancho ciego”, which in urban slang from Colombia means to be implicated in problems, being guilt-free takes another meaning. A singing to freedom and new opportunities in marginal contexts of oppression and overcrowing incarnated in Fabian’s life.
