Comic y and augmented reality

A continuation of the popular comic series “Priya’s Shakti”, the first Indian superheroine, uses augmented and interactive reality to grapple with questions of gender-based violence. The new comic, “Priya and the Swarm”, looks at the consumption of pornography by young people and how this can distort perceptions of relations, sexuality and violence towards women.

The comic focuses on the omnipresent nature of pornography online and the pressure that adolescents face in order to conform to unrealistic sexual stereotypes.

The work in progress will be inaugurated during the exhibition at the MIDBO, during which the various chapters will be added each week.
