NATIONAL PREMIERE
Caetano Gotardo offers a cinematographic essay on surfaces, epidermal and sensitive. Little by little his images slip in the interstices of consciousness, just as water in rocks does, a recurrent image in the movie. Skin as a contact point, the eye as a wanting and wanted entity, the image as a vestige of affection, and poetry as a supreme chant to the closeness and attraction among bodies. Classic verses dissolve in the fragile images of a cell phone camera. This snapshot form notices the spontaneity and performing boldness to extend a spying look on the details of beings unaware in the public space and even penetrate in the most intimate nooks of the director’s being, who exposes himself in a cathartic way in front of our eyes, in a trip of katabasis and resurrection through the images.
