What would happen if a stranger with a camera knocked on your door? Would you be willing to let him film you without knowing the reason? Would you interact with him although he did not talk to you and only held his camera while filming you? The director Guido Hendrikx took on the task of making a documentary in which uncertainty and confusion are its main virtues. Avoiding the big cities in The Netherlands, Hendrikx goes into the borders of Belgium and Germany, to knock doors on houses and film people’s reactions right after opening the door and finding a man with a camera. A documentary with irritating, funny, and lovely moments. The multiple parts of human temper are revealed in a movie that takes care of its rhythm and organizes sensations to play with the spectator. A different movie that might as well have been filmed by an extraterrestrial or a serial killer.
