NATIONAL PREMIERE
Luiz Lepchak studied in Cuba from 2014 to 2017. Years later, he returned, filled with nostalgia, to record the resonating images and sounds in his memory. In Cuba, a place of love and contradictions, he lives with the fragile incursion of new technologies altogether with the analog tradition that resists disappearing. And this turns its residents into people who recycle, protect, and fix and with an unfathomable relationship with the environment and the objects. Luiz revisits the spaces that affectionately anchored him to the island wishing to capture elusive electromagnetic waves, evanescent sonorous landscapes, and quotidian sparkles with a harmonic mix of digital and analog recording devices.
