The short film starts with a warm and close voice that confesses to us after the forcefulness of the black screen: “I imagine portraited stories around a frame that insists on his innocence, and even when I do not know them, my body does not forget the violence you have left in the silence”. Isabella Ostor, who belongs to her family’s last generation, evokes the maternal heritage tied to feminine violences and traumas. She, by performative acts, tries to exorcise the ghosts that haunt a fractured genealogy. The minimalist use of a witness camera poetically approaches this purifying ceremony necessary for the young director.
